Our truck conditions for students
You may also have noticed that renting a transporter as a student is not that easy. Many car rental companies require a high minimum age and add an extra fee on top due to the lack of driving experience. This is not the case with STARCAR. If you have at least one year of driving experience, you can rent many of our vehicle groups even if you are only 18 - from station wagons from car group F to Mercedes Sprinters from truck group 07. We also offer very affordable prices that are compatible with a tight budget - in addition, you will receive a discount of up to 20 percent when you present your student ID in our branches. Please understand that the student discount cannot be combined with other offers, discounts or specials.
And if you're lucky, you can even rent your van completely free of charge. We offer vehicles for certain routes and days for free. Check right away to see if your route is included!
Transporters and vans for a small move
Do you want to rent a transporter for your move? A van from the Group 02 is often sufficient, when moving into a shared apartment. Rent a van if you only need to transport compact pieces of furniture or a few boxes. Vehicles such as the Mercedes Benz Citan offer a loading area of around 1.7 x 1.2 x 1.3 meters and are available at a low hourly rate, but of course the vehicles can also be hired at a daily rate.
Transporters for larger removals
Our Group 03 transporters have a capacity of around 1.1 tons - in this group you could rent a Mercedes Benz Vito XL, for example. Students can use it to transport the furnishings of a two- to three-room apartment. With a length of 2.7 meters, there is plenty of room for a couch or bed and more!
Rent a Sprinter with a lifting platform
Students who don't feel like unscrewing their tall wardrobe when moving house can hire a van from the 06H group. The Mercedes Sprinter van (or a comparable vehicle) is over two meters high. A lifting platform makes loading and unloading easier.
Hire a truck for large transports
Sometimes a van is no longer enough and a truck is needed to transport everything. With us, you can rent anything up to a 12-tonner from group 09. However, this requires a class C / 2 driver's license and you must be at least 21 years old and have three or more years of driving experience. Trucks such as the Mercedes Benz Atego can carry up to 6 tons and usually have a loading area of 7.0 x 2.4 x 2.4 meters.
Rent a transporter: Rates for students
Unbeatable prices - especially with our special student rates! Our offers are perfect for a small budget. Rent your transporter or truck, for example, within our super-affordable night rate, from Monday to Friday from 5.30 pm to 8 am the following day. If it's only a small move, the hourly rate could also be interesting for you. Our Saturday and Sunday rates from 9 a.m. to 8 a.m. the following day are also popular. With the Saturday XXL rate, you even have time from 6 p.m. on Friday to 8 a.m. on Sunday. Renting is easy and convenient online, by phone or directly at the station. Bring your student ID to the pick-up station and receive a discount of up to 20 percent. Please understand that the student discount cannot be combined with other offers, discounts or specials. You can also book an additional driver, moving boxes or other extras at any time.
